The problem to solve
People managing complex conditions can have clinical letters, results, medicines and wearable data spread across different places. That fragmentation makes it harder to understand the longitudinal picture, prepare for appointments and see how personal evidence relates to published pathway criteria.

The decision
I am testing whether bringing a person’s health record and supporting evidence into one structured view can help them prepare for a more informed clinical conversation. The product is designed to support understanding and preparation, not to diagnose, recommend treatment or replace clinical judgement.
03 / approach
How I approached it
The native iOS build brings together clinical letters, medicines, results and Apple Health data to create a longitudinal record. I built pathway analysis against Cheshire & Merseyside guidance with visible source dates and criteria, and appointment-preparation tools that turn the structured evidence into a Care Options Brief. AI is bounded to explaining facts already represented in the product rather than making clinical decisions.
04 / outcome
What changed
The product is in TestFlight beta. The build includes HealthKit integration, GP data export, pathway analysis and appointment-preparation flows. It is an independent product experiment, not an NHS deployment, a clinically validated service or a claim of regulatory approval.
05 / What I take forward
What I take forward
AI explains structured app facts rather than making clinical decisions. Clinical risk, accessibility, data protection and potential medical-device classification are design considerations still to be addressed for any deployment.
